To enlighten the public by promoting a positive understanding of Down syndrome in the community and be a source of support, information, and education for families and individuals with Down syndrome. BUDDY WALK 2023 MISSION: Our primary mission for this year’s event is to raise our collective voices in support of programs that will materially benefit our members and all persons in the intellectual developmental disability (IDD) communities of Southern Nevada, and to raise funds to implement/support those programs.

This mission will be accomplished through active participation, collaboration, and support from a variety of service providers, like-minded organizations, our members, and sponsors.

The Cause: • Education, Employment, and Independent Living • Impact Programs: Computer Lab, Employment Preparation • Embroidery/Screen Printing Training, Speech/Public Speaking/Reading Clinic/iPad Assistive Technology Loan Program • Life-Skills Development, Music Therapy, and Resource for children/adults and parents/family members • All in support of persons diagnosed with down syndrome and other IDD
